Ch. Moulali is an esteemed legal professional with a remarkable career spanning over 32 years in the field of Legal Metrology. He served as the Former Deputy Director of Legal Metrology, Government of India, in the Weights and Measures Unit under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Throughout his extensive tenure, he gained comprehensive expertise in the laws, regulations, and rules pertaining to Legal Metrology, including the Legal Metrology Act and its corresponding rules.

Moulali’s experience extends beyond national boundaries as he was appointed as an Expert in Legal Metrology by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). He successfully completed a project for the Republic of Maldives, focusing on market access, trade facilitation support, and strengthening institutional and national capacities related to Standards, Metrology, Testing, and Quality (SMTQ). His expertise contributed to the enhancement of legal metrology practices in the country, as evidenced by the report submitted to UNIDO. Recognized for his profound knowledge, Moulali has been invited to deliver lectures on the Legal Metrology Act and Rules by prestigious organizations such as FICCI, New Delhi, in collaboration with QCI and the Ministry of Health. He has also shared his insights on legal metrology with industry professionals through Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) events, particularly in Bangalore.

Currently, Moulali serves as a Legal Metrology Consultant for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Bangalore, where he organizes seminars and workshops on the Legal Metrology Act and Rules. His efforts aim to educate and support industries in understanding and complying with legal metrology requirements. In addition to his consulting role, Moulali serves as a Legal Metrology Consultant for numerous renowned companies in the paint manufacturing, automobile, engineering, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods sectors.
