Mr. Ulhas Rajaram Puranik is a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional with a diverse background in the pharmaceutical industry. With over 30 years of professional experience, he possesses expertise in various areas, including drug manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and legal affairs. Mr. Puranik’s unique blend of technical core competency, legal and regulatory knowledge, and commercial acumen makes him a valuable asset to any organization. Mr. Puranik holds an impressive academic background, including qualifications such as S.S.C. from M.S. SSC & HSC Board, Pune, D. Pharm. from Govt. Pharmacy College, Karad M.S. Board of Tech. Education, B. Pharm. from University of Pune, Pune, Diploma in Business Management from Prin. L.N. Welinger Institute of Management Development, Pune, and L.L.B. from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune.
Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Puranik has held notable positions in the industry. He worked as a part-time Registered Pharmacist while pursuing his B.Pharm. degree, gaining practical exposure in handling and selling medicines. As a Production Executive at M/s. Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd., he acquired rich experience in various production sections and ensured compliance with quality control procedures. Mr. Puranik’s expertise further expanded when he served as a Drug Inspector in Food & Drug Administration, Maharashtra State. During his tenure, he enforced the Drugs & Cosmetics Act and Rules, inspecting pharmaceutical industries and handling court cases related to violations of drug laws.
With his vast knowledge and experience, Mr. Puranik became a sought-after technical consultant, providing valuable guidance to new pharmaceutical ventures. He also founded DP Associates and DP Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd, offering consultancy services in technical, legal, and regulatory areas to healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, he took over Cure Medicines (I) Pvt. Ltd., a pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing company known for its WHO-GMP compliant products. In recent years, Mr. Puranik expanded his activities into the wellness sector, specifically in cosmetics, ayurvedic, and nutraceuticals. Through his company, Cosmic Research Pvt Ltd, he offers CRAMS (Contract Research and Manufacturing Services) in these domains.
Mr. Puranik’s functional expertise covers a wide range of areas within the pharmaceutical industry, including drug delivery system development, drug reactions and investigations, clinical trials, and regulatory requirements.
