Ch. Moulali is an esteemed legal professional with a remarkable career spanning over 32 years in the field of Legal Metrology. He served as the Former Deputy Director of Legal Metrology, Government of India, in the Weights and Measures Unit under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Throughout his extensive tenure, he gained comprehensive expertise in the laws, regulations, and rules pertaining to Legal Metrology, including the Legal Metrology Act and its corresponding rules.
Moulali’s experience extends beyond national boundaries as he was appointed as an Expert in Legal Metrology by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). He successfully completed a project for the Republic of Maldives, focusing on market access, trade facilitation support, and strengthening institutional and national capacities related to Standards, Metrology, Testing, and Quality (SMTQ). Currently, Moulali serves as a Legal Metrology Consultant for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Bangalore, where he organizes seminars and workshops on the Legal Metrology Act and Rules.
